That’s right, there’s a new face in the hallowed halls of the ALAN Games Studio, but who, or what could it be? What mystery lies behind the shadowy figure seen in the featured image of this update?
No, it’s not a case of “Name the Pokémon.” I’m not here to reveal a Voltorb, Electrode, or even a Jigglypuff, seen from above. No, this reveal is much greater than all of that.
I’m here today to reveal a real, live GAME. That’s right. We, the self-proclaimed game developers of ALAN Games, are presenting the public with an actual GAME to play. So, with out further ado, I present:
BALL BOUNCE
CREATED BY: BROSEPH & DREAD PIRATE PUGSLEY
Ball Bounce was one of the first forays into the GODOT game engine for ALAN Games. As such, the goal was to create a game with limited complexity, that allowed us to experiment with programming different video game elements. For example, things like game menu interface, leaderboard integration, and the ability to post the game file on the web were at the forefront of these experimentations. However, it ended up as a pretty fun little game, as well!
Give it a try, and challenge your friends to see who can make it higher on the leaderboards!
We hope you enjoy our first little gaming experiment, but don’t you go thinking we’re done just yet. We’ve got a few more cards up our sleeve that we’re itching to play. We’ve got to fill in the new Video Game Library, after all. So be on the look out for the next update.
Until then, Yee-haw!
