Ok, I’ll admit it, we here at ALAN Games lean heavily into the barely part of the Barrel-ly Weekly update. Is it possible to release an update on a weekly basis? Probably. But consider this a warning that more than likely you should expect our updates on a slightly less consistent basis.
Now, would it make more sense to maintain a level of consistency in our updates to help with audience engagement? Maybe. But then again, Ralph Waldo Emerson used to say that consistency is the hobgoblin of little minds, and I’m pretty sure we are neither hobgoblins nor little minded. No, we’re more like wizards, here at ALAN Games. Our updates are never late, nor are they early, but rather they will be posted exactly when we mean them to. So, rest assured, the Weekly Update may not arrive exactly weekly, but it will arrive eventually.
Alright, have I been doing too much question-and-answering in this update? Yes, I have.
Have I done it so many times that I now have to commit to the bit? Also, yes.
So, have we done anything in this last month and a half since my last update? Sure, but you probably haven’t noticed. It’s been more behind the scenes setup and boring functional stuff. For instance, you may not have noticed that we have a functioning Post Archive now, or that it’s been formatted to not look stupid on tablets and phones. So, there’s that. Also, we’ve got our sights set on the Video Games Lab section next, so our resident programmers, have been working on some actual games that we hope to have accessible on the site soon.
When is soon? Refer to the beginning of this post for that answer. But for now, stay vigilent!
