So, a little over one year ago, we here at ALAN Games made our big push toward establishing a presence on the interwebs, by launching The ALAN Games Studio Website! Speaking as someone who has never made on a website before, this initial launch had me basking in a satisfaction akin to Thanos on his farm planet, watching the sun rise on a grateful universe.
Aahhhhh….

Now, after spending a year resting on the laurels of this success until the leaves have gone dry and turned to dust, I’ve unfortunately come to recognize a bit of a problem with our wonderful little website. You see, aside from a fine framework of webpages (including a very nice About Page, which you should totally check out), we don’t really have in any actual content that would give anyone a reason to visit… which is why I’m currently addressing this update to this AI generated pug sitting next to a barrel…

But that’s OK! Because I know that Jerome (that’s the pug’s name) is our biggest fan. He’s been with us since the beginning of our website, acting as a placeholder image while I’ve experimented with the web-building tools. I know he’ll work hard to spread this big news I’m about to announce far and wide! Isn’t that right, Jerome?
*RUFF* *RUFF*
Yeah. Good boy.
*RUFF* *RUFF* *Ruff* *ruff* *ruff* …. ….
Wait! No! Jerome, don’t go! I haven’t made my announcement yet…
… …. …
*sigh*
Well, if someone else happens to be out there reading this, I guess it’s on you to get the word out. Let all your friends and family know the ALAN Games Studio has a lot of fun new web content on the way!
Beginning with this first blog post (or maybe it’s the second?), you can expect to see high quality, engaging content, such as:
- More Barrel-ly Weekly Updates – letting you behind the scenes to know what the ALAN Game Squad and I are working on!
- Archive Pages – to store the numerous, fun and engaging blog post we’re sure to produce!
- Development of the Video Game Labs – showing off some of the experimental game builds we’ve created through our exploration of the GODOT game engine!
- Development of the Board Game Labs – including, hopefully, some information on a game we’ve been developing and hope to get out for purchase!
- And Much, Much, More! – in other words, I can’t think of anything else right now!
We’re excited to share all of this new content with you, but I will add one caveat: please be patient with us. As I’ve reacquainted myself with these web development systems, it’s felt a bit like returning to old save file on a game you beat years ago. Those who play video games will know what I mean. Everything feels so familiar, yet so foreign at the same time, and it will take a minute to relearn our controls. So, stay tuned, and get excited for some ALAN Games Studio action!
